New for Autumn Winter 2012, just one ball of the fantastic Wally from Adriafil makes a beautiful cowl/scarf
We thought it was about time that crocheters got a chance to make a one to two hour scarf, and Katia Roma, a new yarn from Spanish company Katia, is a unique and beautiful way to do it! Katia Roma is a ribbon yarn with a scalloped edge, which we have available in 3 in rich colourways. To make a scarf you simple crochet 4 strips together, using a 4ply or double knit yarn. Alternatively you could knit it in to a garment to create a feature panel or ruffle. Just one skein makes a scarf.
|Rico Yarns and pattern books
We are no stocking a selection of the lovely Rico yarns and pattern books. Choose from the crocheters favourite; Rico Creative Cotton, try the classic Baby Classic DK or whip yourself up a scarf using Rico Pompon!
|Manos Del Uruguay Fino
Manos Del Uruguay Silk Blend Fino yarn is a luxurious blend of merino and silk and a new addition to the Silk Blend family! Hand dyed in large kettles to create a marbleized, subtly striated effect that forms a rich palette of glorious colours. No two skeins are exactly alike and there are no dye lots. The yarn is hand dyed in Uruguay by a women's co-operative. Each hank is signed by the women who made it.
Relaunched for Autumn 2012 due to popular demand, Mirasol Hacho yarn is a 100% wool that is hand dyed in an array of lovely colors. The yarn is soft and perfect for bright kids' items and accessories.
The Mirasol Project is based on Fairtrade. Fairtrade guarantees that disadvantaged producers in the developing world get a better deal for their products. The producers receive a price that covers the cost of sustainable production plus an extra premium that is invested in social or economic development projects such as the Mirasol Project.
