Suffolk Yarn Store

Cafeknit Lavenham

CafeKnit shop frontIn November 2011, and after 3 years of yarn and accessory sales online, we proudly opened our first high street yarn shop in the beautiful suffolk village of Lavenham.

For those of you who know your knitting history, you will be aware that Lavenham was the one time centre of the British wool trade. OK so this dates back to 1500 and something, but even today you can still see the fine wool merchant houses, the guild hall, and the wonderful church of St Peter and St Paul.

You will find Cafeknit on the main high street of Lavenham, towards the Bury St Edmunds end of the village. There is ample free parking both on street and in the near by car park. In addition to our wonderful yarns we also serve fresh tea, coffee and cakes, and we have on site rest room facilities (just in case!).

Rather than craming every surface with a multitude of yarsn, we have again focused on our best selling yarns and the broadened the range even further. We invite our customers to browse our selection of products at leisure, relax with coffee, tea and cakes, and why not have a knit and chat with like minded people. And rather than leaving your partner behind, bring them along, they are more than welcome to sit, have a coffee and catch up on the news with a paper or simply read a book.
